DFO advises that the 3Ps cod fishery in that portion of 3Ps inside a line extending from Point Verde to Grandy’s Point will remain closed for the remainder of the season to all non-resident fish harvesters and all vessel classes. Harvesters having a homeport within the area are advised to pick up amended Cod licence conditions from DFO before fishing in the area.

The area will re-open for resident fish harvesters at 0600 hours January 2, 2010. The coordinates for the Area are:

Point Verde: 47degrees,14.3’ minutes North, 55 degrees 1 minute West

Grandy’s Point: 47degrees, 27 minutes North, 54 degrees 24.3 minutes West.
