DFO advises fish harvesters in the less than 65 feet fixed gear fleet

sector, that the commercial cod fishery in NAFO Division 3Ps(a) closes

on November 15, 2009, for harvesters with a homeport outside Division 3Ps(a).

Fish harvesters with a homeport in 3Ps(a) wishing to direct for cod are required to amend their licence conditions by contacting the DFO office in Grand Bank at (709) 832-3012. This closure is in accordance with the Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) and relates to the mixing of cod from 3Pn4RS.
