DFO advises that the commercial Cod fishery in NAFO Divisions 4RS and Subdvision 3Pn for the Quebec Region Gaspe-based longliner fleet, using fixed gear (vessel class A133), is open and due to the limited quota available for this fleet, the fishery will close at 1:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, August 16, 2009 (midnight August 15, 2009 Eastern Daylight Time).
