DFO advises that the fixed gear capelin fishery in the area from North Head to Dog Bay Point (Notre Dame Bay) will open at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009.

Fish harvesters are reminded that no capelin may be removed from any fixed gear until the fishery has been open for a period of 48 hours.
